Birth Photography, Birth Videography, and Doula Support
Birth Videography
Birth is a visceral experience.
See your labor unfold. Hear each roar and sweet whisper of support. Feel the joy of meeting your baby with your partner by your side. Experience the intensity of each emotion through moving images and sound.
Be Moved.
There’s just something incredible about taking the documentation of your birth story a step beyond still images alone. In the form of moving images with audio and music, the emotion of your birth experience can be felt deeply by you and anyone you choose to share it with. Including, one day, your baby!
Hear your baby’s first cry.
The story of how you meet your baby and those incredible first moments together… bottled up in the form of a film for you to relive again and again.
Doulas Make Birth Better.
Birthing people who receive consistent support from a trained doula during labor and delivery experience notable improvements:
A significant 39% decrease in the likelihood of needing a Cesarean section.
A 15% increase in the chances of achieving a physiological vaginal birth without the need for induction or augmentation, resulting in fewer medical interventions.
A notable 10% reduction in the use of pain relief medications.
Shorter labor durations, typically by 40 minutes or more.
A 31% decrease in the risk of having a negative birth experience.
Reduced incidence of postpartum mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety.
Importantly, the benefits of having a trained doula extend beyond mere emotional support, with documented superior outcomes compared to other forms of support, and without any reported risks or side effects.
Recognizing the significant impact, both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) endorse the use of doulas to reduce Cesarean rates, intervention rates, and overall improve outcomes for birthers, families, and newborns.
Choosing to hire a birth doula is a proactive step towards enhancing the birthing experience and minimizing the chances of medical interventions. It's also worth noting that the benefits of doula support extend to newborns as well, making it a worthwhile investment for expectant families.

How does it work?
Doula Support
Text and email communication throughout pregnancy with both Anna and Dana through a shared email and phone number so both of us are always in the loop on any communications we have with you.
Both Anna and Dana attend all prenatal meetings so we both understand your hopes, fears, and priorities for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Building relationship with you is our primary goal.
At any given time, either Anna or Dana is on call. When your labor begins and you’re ready for one of us to join you, the doula who is on call is the doula who will attend your birth.
The doula who attends your birth will follow up with you and come to your home for a postpartum appointment to process your experience and support you through this transition into parenthood.
Birth Photography
Text and email communication throughout pregnancy with both Anna and Dana through a shared email and phone number so both of us are always in the loop on any communications we have with you.
Both photographers have access to all your answers about birth history, birth preferences, and which moments in your labor and birth are most important to have documented.
At any given time, either Anna or Dana is on call. When your labor begins and you’re ready for one of us to join you, the photographer who is on call is the photographer who will document your birth.
The photographer who documents your birth will edit the photos in the cohesive style that we’ve worked so hard to achieve for you. Then, they’ll deliver your birth story in a private, online gallery for you to view, download, and share.
